ADAIRVILLIES HS COMPETITON

The Dalton High School Raiders kick-started their season at Adairsville High School. Meanwhile, the events were timed, the Raiders Team pushed through the mental and physical challenges to try to get the lowest time. C/SSG Alejandro Rosas said “The competition was very challenging, yet exciting, despite it being my very first competition. It helped build confidence from overcoming obstacles like the 8-foot wall for example. From here, all we’ll ever do is Improve more and more.”  The Raider Team is ready to take on the next competition physically and mentally prepared

CASS HS COMPETITION

After a long week of training after school, cadets had to come back the following Saturday for the competition to compete at Cass High School for raiders. They had to be at school at 5:15 am to leave and be there to prepare themselves to compete. When they arrived they stretched then began the competition. All three teams began with the team run, followed by the CCR (cross country rescue), raider fitness challenge, obstacle course, and lastly rope bridge. After a hard-working day, all three teams placed. C/MAJ Amizadai Simon said, “I am very proud that all teams placed and demonstrated hard work.”

ADAIRSVILLE HS COMPETITION (AREA)

Congratulations to the Dalton High School Raiders Team for qualifying for the State Competition! They competed at Adairsville High School early in the morning on October 12, 2019. All of the Raider Teams (Male, Female, and Co-ed team) competed with an attitude of winning their place in State. After a long tiring day, the teams headed out to the awards ceremony for the results. The two teams that qualified were the Female and the Male Team. The next competition is at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, which will not only help them improve for state, but will also help the teams prove themselves as the best.

LFO (LAKEVIEW-FORT OGLETHORPE) HS COMEPTITION

Congratulations to the DHS Raiders Team for their outstanding accomplishment at the LFO (Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School) competition on Saturday, October 19th. The teams arrived early in the morning and left in the afternoon with the Female Team placing 1st, the Male Team placing 2nd, and the Mix Team placing 4th overall. All of the Raider Teams (Male, Female, and Mix team) competed with an attitude of winning and an eye for success in every event, which was Team Run, Water Cans, Tire Flip, CCR (Cross Country Rescue), Rope Bridge, Log Carry, and The Gauntlet. This challenging event has prepared them for the upcoming state competition at Spalding High School on Saturday, October 21.
